Dr. Christian Grah
Physicist (Dipl.-Phys.), Partner at BTO Management Consulting AG since 2013.
Christian has been with BTO since 2010. His methodological focus areas include consulting in organization, M&A, and project management. He is also an expert in business model development and profitability analysis. Christian has led numerous successful projects for companies in the energy sector, research institutes, and infrastructure providers.
He brings many years of management consulting experience in the energy industry from previous roles. He began his career as a scientist at the German Electron Synchrotron (DESY), working on new detector technologies in high-energy physics.
Matthias Wendel, MBA
Production Plant Engineer (Dipl.-Ing.), Industrial Engineer (Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing.), MBA, Member of the Executive Board and Partner at BTO Management Consulting AG since July 2023.
Matthias has been active in the energy industry for nearly 30 years, including around 15 years in senior management roles as managing director and executive board member of energy supply companies. His experience ranges from managing a regional municipal utility, serving as sales director for a major national energy group, to executive positions in national and international energy trading companies.
At BTO, his focus is on all topics related to strategy and corporate management, B2C and B2B sales, energy solutions, and energy trading. He also takes on responsibilities in M&A and serves as an interim manager in various roles – including assuming temporary executive positions.
